Parting isn’t always such sweet sorrow

When you’ve been in business for almost 20 years, you expect clients to come and go but I’m really pleased to still be working with some of the clients who were there at day one – three of them. Still, from time to time, you have to say goodbye to a client. It doesn’t happen often and when it does it’s usually for a good reason.

Recently, we said a fond farewell to the team at Affinity IFA. We worked with Shona Barr and her colleagues for about 18 months before they joined Progeny where they have access to an internal paraplanning team and no longer need to outsource. When a relationship comes to an end, we ask for feedback. Here’s what Shona had to say.

“Working with The Paraplanners has made such a difference to me and the team; we draw so much reassurance from knowing that our clients and the advice we give them benefits from the second check your team give it.

The quality of work your team provides is excellent and we’ll miss working with you”.

The second check that Shona mentioned is an important and valued part of the service we offer to all clients.

Every member of our team can call on an average of 15 years’ paraplanning experience and they call on this experience when checking the course that’s under consideration, working in partnership with the adviser to make sure the client gets the best possible outcome.

Affinity moving on means we have time to offer new clients. If you’re thinking of outsourcing for the first time, or considering a new paraplanning partner, please get in touch.  We’ll be happy to discuss the support you’d benefit from and see if we’re a good fit. If we’re not, we’ll point you in the right direction.
