When we learnt more about what NextGen Planners were planning with their Advice Stack, I was really excited that they asked The Paraplanners to participate in their Marketplace.
We’re a small outsourced paraplanning business with a lot of experience but it’s fair to say I have the entrepreneurial bug. I understand the excitement of building a business from scratch – the anticipation of what you’ll achieve and the thrill of doing things your way. I’ve also experienced the sleepless nights that early days can result in. In fact, let’s face it, as the Managing Director of a small business, I still have those sleepless nights from time to time.
As much as I hope we can help those firms, their owners and teams, I’m also looking forward to the opportunity of learning from them. I’m sure many of them will be looking to processes and approaches to improve their efficiency. As their outsourced paraplanning partner, I’ll be keen to ensure we’re matching their innovation with our own and I’m sure we’ll get many ideas for improvements by working with them.
So, as part of the Advice Stack Marketplace, I’m really happy that we’re able to stand alongside young businesses. I hope our experience – both as paraplanners and as a small business – will make a contribution to their successful start on what will be an exciting journey.
