The Paraplanners

Powwow 2013: What's the cost and content? Thu 14 Mar 2013

When will the Powwow happen?

September 2013. We have taken a look at the calendar and, mindful of the events that may compete for paraplanners' time, we believe that an event in mid-September - during the weeks beginning either 9 or 16 September 2013 - is likely to be the most practical.

Where will it take place?

Somewhere near Bromsgrove. Based on the response to our recent post, it looks like that the Powwow will take place in the midlands.

When will the Powwow start and finish?

10.00am until 5.30pm. With registration from 8.30am in the morning.

How much will it cost to attend?

£25. We want to stage an event that is independent and cost-neutral. If you would like to participate, the fee for the event will be £25. On the one hand, we think that parting with £25 demonstrates a commitment to attend and, on the other, it's a contribution to food and drinks throughout the day.

What's the agenda for the day?

You'll decide. We're adopting 'unconference' principles. In other words, we'll be inviting you - in advance of the event - to help determine the day's topics. Those topics will feature in session formats that we are designing which mean that everyone will get the chance to learn things, fix things and share things.

As a bit of a teaser, the working titles of the sessions you'll be creating with us are 'Show and Tell', 'The Small Hadron Collider', 'Guru Lectures' and 'The Powwow'.
